Resources
Benefits & support resources
Many veterans and surviving spouses are eligible for benefits that can help offset the cost of home care. We can help connect you with the right resources and people.
VA Aid & Attendance
A VA pension benefit that may help wartime veterans and surviving spouses pay for in-home care. Eligibility depends on service history, financial circumstances and care needs.
Geriatric Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT)
VA primary care teams designed specifically for older veterans. A great starting point for veterans navigating VA health services.
Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs)
Accredited VSOs can help veterans file claims and navigate VA benefits at no cost. Organizations include the DAV, VFW, American Legion and many others.
State of Georgia Veterans Affairs
Georgia's Department of Veterans Service (GDVS) offers benefits counseling, claims assistance and other support for Georgia veterans and surviving spouses.
About benefits assistance
Remnant Home Care provides general information about available resources as a courtesy to veteran clients and families. We do not process, file or guarantee VA benefit claims. Benefits eligibility and approval are determined solely by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. We encourage families to work with an accredited VA benefits counselor or a Veterans Service Organization (VSO) for official claims assistance.
