Questions

Frequently asked questions

Who is Traditional Home Care for?

Traditional Home Care is designed for individuals who need regular, ongoing assistance at home—whether due to aging, disability, illness or recovery. It is ideal for clients who need a consistent schedule of care.

What is the minimum schedule?

Traditional Home Care requires a minimum of four hours per visit and a minimum of 20 hours of care per week. This structure ensures caregivers can provide thorough, meaningful support on each visit.

Do I need a referral or doctor's order?

No. Remnant Home Care provides nonmedical services, so a doctor's referral is not required to begin care. We start with a free in-home consultation to assess your needs.

How are caregivers screened?

Every Remnant caregiver undergoes thorough background screening, reference verification and skills assessment before being matched with any client. We also provide ongoing training.

Will I have a consistent caregiver?

We work to provide consistent caregiver assignments. Familiarity and routine matter—both to the quality of care and to the client's comfort. If a change is ever needed, we communicate with the family.
